attention Jacob and Carson: Arvind has opened up a small lead in the race for Hannah's hand. even though Jacob was the first ... and Carson was the first to lie with her on a bed ... Arvind arguably eclipsed those early accomplishments yesterday when Hannah actually CUDDLED with him on the couch. now listen: i don't want to hear any excuses like, "We live in San Diego" or "It's a long drive from Sonoma to Healdsburg." look boys, you're either gonna make a move or you're not.

Hey Look Mom ... I'm Flying!

so, check it out.

the last time i went flying was before Hannah was born. by my count, that's at least 3 months and 3 weeks.

so today i took my plane up to the model airfield -- which, for those of you who don't know, is up in the hills where we can see it from our back yard -- and fueled up the plane for her first flight in months.

i wasn't sure if it would run right after so long a time sitting in our dusty garage, but what the hell ... why not strap a digital camera to it anyway and see if we can get some cool airborne video. i wasn't too worried about the camera (it was our old one -- a complete P.O.S.), but was maybe a little concerned about what might become of our 1GB memory card if i were to crash.

Quick Update and More Baby Pics

not that any of you are going to read this ... when you can just skip ahead to the pictures of Hannah. in any case, here's what's been going on ...

• we had a great visit with grandma joanne, who was here for christmas ...
• on the same trip to the airport to drop her off, i picked up grandpa rich and ann, who were here thru the second ...
• as of the middle of december, i dropped all other work and am focused entirely on tycoon, where i'm now in charge of marketing ...
• it's been raining like a bitch, so i haven't been able to play golf -- except for once with ian, when he slipped and fell and looked like he'd gone 10 rounds of mud wrestling. ian, it's only out of some vague sort of respect for your dignity that i'm not going to post the picture ...
• thanks to my father in law, i'm all set up with bluetooth for my computer, so i don't have a thousand wires going everywhere when i do my work ...
• thanks to richard, i have a nifty little face-tracking webcam that i can use to make hannah videos and do video conferencing ...
• richard and i are in the planning stages for a killer wine blog, which we're designing with the beginner in mind, and plan to have all sorts of fun features ...
• i need to pee, so that's all i'm going to write. just look at the pictures. as if you didn't do that first.
